Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your machine by a website. They are stored on your machine to help the software remember certain things, such as your current position when progressing through a series of activities, such as filling a shopping cart.
Sometimes cookies are left on your machine after your session is complete. That allows a website to “remember” you from one visit to the next, thus improving the service and its convenience.

In no way will the GatewayEngine attempt to access any other cookie or information on your machine. The use of cookies will be limited to session tracking when using the likes of RingForHelp and the VirtualStore.
In the case of RingForHelp, the cookie will store your Node ID, a unique code assigned to you (like a telephone number) and your nickname if you provide one. In the case of the Virtual Store, a cookie will be used to store the contents of your shopping trolley.
Most Internet browsers are pre-set to accept cookies. If you prefer not to receive cookies, you can adjust your Internet browser to refuse cookies or to warn you when cookies are being used. Turning cookies off may degrade the operation of some websites.
